Day 2 - Tuesday 13 March 2012

We were awoken today by the maid who wished to clean our room...  oh dear! 10am sleep in...

Off we go to the Cosmopolitan for their highly rated Buffet...we hoped to get in for an early lunch.  Took in some sites on the way through.

More Vegas Fountains!

A slow day for crime in Sin City - Spider Man awaits the call

3 Pennies? Sure did!

Tanya admiring all the things we cannot have.

A view of Lake Belagio

The beautiful Tanya and the impressive Belagio

Buffet at the Wicked Spoon was okay... dessert was the best bit.

The Cosmopolitan - land of shiny things

... and big shoes

More shinyness in the Aria shopping district

Off we went to further explore the strip... what's this?  Grand Canyon tour discounts.... lots of money later we are booked in for a sunrise Grand Canyon Helicopter tour (pick-up 530am) and Penn & Teller tickets for 9pm. I'm already exhausted.
A monorail to take you from the Aria on the right, to the something else on the left. Otherrwise it is a 500m walk.

Slowly losing the plot

A brief stopover in France and this was the only photo we got!

We head back to the hotel to pick up some bits and pieces, the plan was to duck into Madam Tussaud's before having showers to head to see Human Nature.  Matt took so long typing out the last blog that time flew by and all we had time for was a quick bite to eat and to head out to the Imperial. That's why I'm typing todays blog.

Human Nature rocked the Imperial Palace making us proud to be Aussies.  One guy said that the White Aussies do motown better than the originals from Detroit.  I knew what to expect, they blew me away the last time I saw them and I been talking about it every since.  Tonight was no exception.  Sold out -  they had most people on their feet...  I say most people because we were sat across from some surly Americans who didn't crack a smile or clap the whole show... they were very annoying.
True Blue Aussie Champs

Met the boys outside the theatre and got an autographed programme... they were also nice enough to pose for a quick pic.  I was very chuffed.
3/4 of Human Nature, Toby was too slow to get involved (Tanya has a crush on Phil anyway!)

Matt's been busting to play CRAPS since we arrived so we headed back to the Venetian (via the hotdog stand) to play a game or 2.  The table was cold and at one stage it was only Matt and I there.  Why is this experience so different to playing on the Cruise Ship?  Matt's determined to find a hot table and play to his heart content.
